Manager, Corporate Compliance and Privacy

Summary
Under the limited supervision of the Sr. Director of Corporate Compliance and Privacy, the Manager is an independent self-directed individual who performs advanced-level management of the TGH’s Corporate Compliance program and is responsible for leading and reporting all aspects of compliance efforts consistent with Office of Inspector General for HHS (OIG), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Department of Justice (DOJ), and the Health Care Compliance Association guidance for compliance programs. Works independently under general direction with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
The Manager assists in identifying Compliance Program risks to develop the annual compliance plan. Then, oversees the performance to achieve the annual compliance program goals.
The Manager will provide direct oversight of Department team members. These activities include training, coaching, oversight of work assignments, team member evaluations and will address performance matters as appropriate.
The Manager is also responsible for all of the day-to-day operations of the department which include (1) maintenance and oversight of policies and procedures; (2) Develop education and communication initiative, and (3) Assist in developing initiatives to align the Department with strategic goals of the organization.
Additionally, the Manager is expected to; (1) Identify opportunities for improvement within the Department and as a liaison to organizational customers, and (2) Participate in meetings and committees representing the Department. Works with all levels of personnel within the organization including directly interfacing with Directors, Vice-Presidents, Executive Vice Presidents as may be required.
Other essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the staff when needed to conduct interviews, review documents, develop and administer surveys, composing summary memos, and preparing working papers.
- Communicates the results of reviews and investigation via written reports and oral presentations to organizational leadership.
The Manager of Corporate Compliance & Privacy must rely upon experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, Health Care, Business, Nursing or a related field required.
- Master’s Business Administration, Master’s Healthcare Administration, Master of Science in Nursing, Master of Jurisprudence or related, other Master’s in related field, Juris Doctor Experience required.
- Should have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare compliance or 5 years in a related field.
- Preferred Experience: 3 years in a management role with employee oversight.
