Salesforce Developer/Tech Lead
Amgen is hiring a Salesforce Developer/Tech Lead
Summary
You will stay abreast of current Salesforce capabilities and roadmap, adopt standard software development engineering and release processes. You will work closely with product owner/business analyst to understand the requirement, utilize Agile methodology, apply DevOps best practices, and lead a team of 3-5 technologists and software engineers. You will also be leveraging Generative AI technologies to support the evolution of Contracts Management Products at Amgen.
Job Responsibilities:
- Software application development on Amgen’s Salesforce.com platform using APEX, JavaScript, Visual Force, AJAX, HTML, CSS, and Lightning Web Components
- Apply standard methodologies to develop application using Salesforce components, Sales Cloud, Community Cloud for integration with MuleSoft, DocuSign
- Configure Conga CPQ, and Conga CLM applications
- Configure Salesforce.com application and model custom objects based on the business requirements
- Understand Salesforce security and apply the Organization Wide Default, sharing patterns, profiles or permissions to the applications
- Provide leadership skills to drive innovative design to suit business requirements, provide gap analysis, work estimates, support and coordinate technical team’s assignments
- Communicate software design using UML, lucid chart or other modeling tools and software. Collaborate with team members to apply abstractions and service-orientation to foster scalability
- Develop Test classes and automation to validate business logic and avoid production issues
- Work with release engineer to organization and manage product delivery backlog, pipeline environments, developers code merge, and validation
- Work in Copado to run and support Salesforce promotions and deployments
- Work as part of SAFe Product Team with active participation in requirements gathering, design discussions, development, implementation, and software validation
- Develop innovation solutions using Generative AI technologies
- Mentor junior software engineers
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in software engineering, and share this knowledge with technical team
- Communicate and work optimally in cross-functional teams and collaborate with business partners
- Build and maintain documentations on software architecture, design, deployment, and disaster recovery

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
OR
Master’s degree and 3 years of development experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of development experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 10 years of development experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of development Job Code’s development experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in developing and customizing Salesforce.com application via web services, Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, Visual Force, Data Loader, Reports and Dashboards
- Experience with developing Salesforce dashboards leveraging SFDC APIs, SOSL, SOQL, SOAP or REST based web services, SQL, XML and JavaScript
- Experience with building and maintaining Custom Objects, and integrating Salesforce with external systems (e.g. Conga, DocuSign, and MuleSoft)
- Experience with Amazon Web Services and/or Amazon Connect
- Copado Certificate and experience with Copado deployment process
- Conga CPQ and Conga CLM Certification is a plus
- Experience wit DevOps, Build, and Deployment pipeline
- Outstanding communications, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to learn fast
