The Senior Manager, Technical Accounting is a key role in the Finance organization. The position is responsible for ensuring GAAP and SEC reporting requirements are met for significant and/or non-routine transactions. Participate in the preparation of the company’s SEC reports (10K, 10Qs, 8-Ks, etc.). Main responsibilities include supporting Global Accounting Operations, Treasury, Tax and Financial Planning and Analysis functions. Provide advice on the accounting treatment for a wide range of transaction types (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, and debt). The role would support Amgen’s Business Development group to provide accounting support related to strategic transactions and ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. The position will report to the Director, Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting and will assist in providing thought leadership and current standard methodologies surrounding technical accounting and external reporting issues globally.
Doctorate degree and 2 years of related Accounting of Finance experience
Masters’ degree and 4 years of related Accounting or Finance experience
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of related Accounting or Finance experience
Associates’ degree and 10 years of related Accounting or Finance experience
High School diploma / GED and 12 years of related Accounting or Finance experience
