Job Title: Business Information Security Officer – 180610


Position Summary


As a Business Information Security Officer in the Technology Risk Management (TRM) group, you will coordinate and drive information risk management programs and services across DTCC business operations. You would serve as a trusted advisor on matters related to cybersecurity risk, building partnerships with teams around the company to implement all aspects of our risk management program.


To succeed in this role, you will need to communicate effectively, understanding and aligning the needs of the business with risk mitigation best practices.


Specific Responsibilities


  • Ensure adherence to information risk policies, escalating concerns/issues to TRM management, providing input and driving remediation efforts, rolling out new technologies/solutions and aligning them to the organization
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the engagement of TRM services; Act as a trusted advisor on cybersecurity risk matters
  • Drive TRM risk management services into business operations; Provide a conduit to the business for TRM subject-matter experts
  • Report on the overall status of the Information Technology Risk Program, including the outcome of risk assessments, mitigation activities, and related projects and program accomplishments; Promote frank and timely internal communication within the organization about risk
  • Educate and provide direction and support to business leadership to develop guidelines; Educate the business areas on their cybersecurity risk management regulatory obligations and DTCC advocacy activities
  • Build and sustain a risk-aware culture and mindset among employees, contractors and service providers; Build and maintain appropriate governance to ensure the organization and appropriate management committees are aware of risks; Drive the mitigation of determined risks
  • Manage the risk reporting process as well as manage and maintain program elements, including process improvement and risk framework development
  • Mitigate risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in international Information Risk Management; demonstrated experience in a regulated environment
  • Strong foundational knowledge of: SDLC, project lifecycle management, technology infrastructure concepts, information and IT security, and technology risk and vendor management practices; understanding of risks and business operations within the financial services sector
