Job Description

The Analyst, Development works with Development project teams to support the project vision. The Analyst will collaborate with development teams across the organization spanning different asset classes.

Essential Functions:

Develops and maintains projects files, tracks weekly project deliverables, updates and prepares monthly development reports
Supports the interactions with internal project stakeholders including Construction, Master Planning, Legal, Finance, Accounting, Marketing and Asset Management
Assists in the preparation and maintenance of performance metrics including (pre)development budget, construction costs, cash flow, project timelines and entitlement milestones
Assists with the management of design criteria and programming for the building and site along with the project architect, general contractor and building end-users
Reviews architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and construction cost items
Reviews invoices for accuracy against approved budgets and contracts; tracks accordingly
Assists in preparation of funding requests and capital calls
Assists with term negotiations and conditions for various development-related agreements with project attorneys
Works with construction management teams to manage activities including monitoring construction progress and ensuring project quality
Participates in weekly project meetings
Carries out other duties as assigned

Experience and Skills
An undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, real estate, civil engineering, or architecture and planning
Minimum of 1 year of related real estate development experience
Development experience across any or all asset types
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (including advanced Excel knowledge)

Preferred skills and experience:

Experience with urban planning
Experience with infrastructure development and/or civil engineering
Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information; collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Ability to balance competing demands and effectively handle shifting priorities and change
Designing work flow and procedures
Developing project plans, coordinating projects, communicating changes and progress, and assisting with project completion on time and budget
Reading architectural and engineering drawings, site planning, architectural design, government entitlements such as zoning, construction techniques, real estate law, negotiations
Participating in budgeting and strategic planning
