Under the supervision of the AVP of the USF Health Communications and Marketing, the Assistant Director is responsible for managing the day-to-day clinical marketing strategy for the USF Health practice plan, initiatives and clinical programs. Will contribute in creating and implementing marketing communications plans to support numerous service lines with the end goal of building patient volume and reinforcing brand awareness and reputation in the community and region.

The Assistant Director will possess strong organizational skills and ability to drive and project manage marketing campaign plans. The Assistant Director will collaborate with department administrators, physicians and clinical staff managing an integrated communications approach including planning, creative concepting and execution. This position will work closely with the physician liaison team on strategic areas of focus and must be a critical thinker, solution focused and effective collaborator.

This position is a member of the USF Health Communications and Marketing cross functional team.

Develops marketing plans; setting goals, strategies and tactics 
-Designs in consult with AVP and executes service line marketing communications plans and brand strategy (i.e. digital, traditional and community outreach) to drive up patient volume for service lines across marketing channels
-Provides editorial recommendations and contributes content for marketing and promotional collateral (i.e. brochures, posters, mailers, articles, newsletters, etc.) and digital media (i.e. website, social media, email marketing, audiovisual content)
-Tracks and analyzes the success of marketing campaigns, and develops data-driven recommendations to continually improve marketing and communications strategies
-Identifies and generates positive content that advances the USF Health brand and aligns with leadership strategic priorities

Project manager for marketing clinical programs, launches, initiatives 
-Provides marketing communication support for USF Health providers, clinics and center directors
-Acts as a consultative resource for the marketing department by providing insight and data on clinical trends and required clinical information that is necessary to remain competitive with other health care systems within the area.
-Responsible for managing external vendors as they relate to marketing projects and communications campaigns.
-Responsible for monitoring marketing budget and maintaining project deadlines.
-Responsible for adherence of brand and brand standards
-Ability to multi-task and take direction in a matrix work environment

-Perform related duties as required or deemed necessary to meet the goals of USF Health Leadership and USF Health Communications and Marketing department.

This position requires a bachelor?s degree in communication, marketing, public relations, technical writing, digital media, or related field, with five to seven years of experience in related positions; or a master?s degree in the fields listed above.

Preferred candidates will also have experience working in a health care setting. A Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field, such as Communications, Marketing or a related field, and progressive responsible experience in applied marketing and communications.
All candidates are expected to have strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Applications.
