Coke Florida is looking for an Accounting & Finance Analyst based out of our Tampa Headquarters.
What You Will Do:
The Accounting and Finance Analyst, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of accounting and finance in addition to month-end procedures and reconciliations. The role will be responsible for daily activities such as evaluating general ledger account details, resolving payable exceptions across different departments and completing month-end general ledger close procedures. The role will also be responsible for vendor invoice coding and approval routing for payment. As well as preparing monthly external and internal customer invoices that are supported with detailed information in addition to any ad hoc requests. The role will assist with monthly financial reporting as well as the annual financial statement audit. The position reports to the Accounting and Finance Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in development of general accounting and finance policies
- Prepare journal entries on a routine basis that are supported with accurate financial data
- Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
- Provide variance explanations for balance sheet and income statements accounts
- Interact with Capgemini for related general accounting support
- intra/intercompany invoicing and paymentsFacilitate
- Validate payment requests by verifying requestor documentation and vendor set-up
- Monitor the Daily Operations Dashboard (DOD) to clear payables exceptions, improve first time past rates, and offer training to end-users
- Create purchase orders as needed to support the department’s procurement of goods and services
- Provide financial information from research and analysis performed for ad hoc management requests
- Complete month-end close procedures and reporting requirements
- Gather supporting schedules and relevant financial information for the annual financial statement audit
- Support change management projects and process improvement initiatives
For this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, an MBA is a plus
- 2-3 years of accounting/finance experience with increasing responsibilities
- Robust understanding of general accounting/finance
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Focus oriented with strict attention to details
- Demonstrate effective prioritization abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Hands-on working knowledge of SAP is a plus
