Business Analysis Associate

Summary
Enterprise Metadata is a core asset across all DTCC businesses and corporate support functions. Data is treated as a DTCC enterprise asset and is governed and managed in a disciplined and coordinated manner. For data to be understood and determined to be fit for purpose, it must be defined and cataloged, and such information must be maintained and easily accessible to any consumer. The practice of defining and cataloging data is referred to as metadata management, which is a key aspect of any data-driven organization, and one that is essential for data to be trusted as fit for the purposes of all consumers.
As a Business Analyst for the Enterprise Metadata Team within the Enterprise Data Tribe, and as a member of the Metaception Squad, you will be an integral support in defining and executing metadata customer requirements across the enterprise, maintaining the EDM metadata model, and providing expertise to customers. Your Primary Responsibilities:
- As a member of the Enterprise Metadata team, support the Product Owner and Product Manager on efforts aligned to the Metadata roadmap and results.
- Participate in maintenance of the Enterprise Metadata Repository (Collibra) and support the business and technical metadata needs of the customers across the enterprise.
- Assist in definition of functional business requirements in support of Metadata Stakeholders and Data Stewards. Document requirements in JIRA stories.
- Work with IT staff to further refine requirements that have been captured to ensure story meets the definition of done.
- Coordinate UAT with partners for all newly developed features in the tool in advance of implementation.
- Participate in verification of Collibra after release launches and upgrades.
- Support and train Metadata Stakeholders and Data Stewardship teams to use enterprise metadata tool(s) within the guidelines of governance policies and data management best practices.
- Create, maintain, and publish key documentation in support of Metadata Stakeholders.
- Attend and participate in all squad meetings (example. sprint and release events)
- Mitigate risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors, and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- At least 4 years of experience in a data/metadata management related function
- Experience in documentation writing a strong preference
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented, organized time management skills
- Self-starter with high motivation and initiative
Talents Needed for Success:
- Experience with any Metadata or Data Governance tool is a plus
- Knowledge or experience in data management is a plus
- Background in Information Technology is a plus
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
