Senior Community Engagement Coordinator

Tampa General Hospital is hiring a Senior Community Engagement Coordinator

Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Manager of Strategic Partnerships and Community Engagement and following established policies, procedures and professional guidelines, candidate will engage the community in various activities and education events to meet service line and evidence-based needs. Engagement of the community includes leading the development and coordination of physician led community lectures and leading service line projects, programs, and related sponsorship activations.

Senior Engagement Coordinator will implement a strategy for outreach and education that identifies targeted populations with specific healthcare needs and collaborate with other community organizations to meet those needs. Sr. Coordinator will work with leadership and cross departmentally to analyze the market, target populations, organize and execute events and participate in ongoing community functions that will create awareness of TGH and its capabilities in the community. Sr. Coordinator will partner with service lines to execute the above activities and partnerships. Sr. Coordinator will be assigned a geographic territory and will actively stay engaged with community partners including the Chambers of Commerce, community organizations, local stake holders and not-for-profits to maintain relationships and seek out new collaboration opportunities for delivering benefits to the communities we serve.

Sr. Coordinator will work collaboratively with department to plan and execute lecture requests from various stakeholders including large community events. Team member is expected to analyze program, event, and activity outcomes.

Sr. Coordinator will be the project lead for large projects and streams of work including but not limited to:

– Lead high profile events and projects supporting hospital service lines

– Leading event and project committees supporting department and community lead initiatives

– Develop service line summaries for internal and external stakeholder presentations

– Manage a speaker’s bureau of presenters

– Train or orient new team members on department platforms outside of any 3rd party vendor trainings

– Lead special projects as assigned to support department’s overall growth, work efficiencies and deliverables to stakeholders

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Education, Business, Marketing, Health Care Administration or related field required, or 5 – 7 years of progressive experience in event planning or project management. Must have experience in providing presentations, event and project management, strong organizational skills, and ability to analyze and act on data outcomes.
