Summary
The Market Director of People & Talent will plan, lead, direct, develop and coordinate the People & Talent functions at their market and serves as the strategic and integral partner to operational leaders with primary focus of ensuring business and operational strategies are aligned with the People & Talent strategies across the health system. The Director may also be assigned large scale projects and initiatives to support the organization and overall People & Talent team. Provides people consulting on a variety of People and Talent related areas, including but not limited to coaching, talent management, development, change management, policy interpretation and application, training, workforce planning and enhancing employee and leader capabilities and decision making. The Market Director People & Talent will maintain communications with respective client groups to understand the business and proactively identify people support, present recommendations and plans, including goals and priorities that will benefit the group and the organization. The Director will also maintain communications with People & Talent Centers of Excellence (COEs) to collaborate on proactive resources and solutions in order to deliver value added service while serving as a change agent and champion for TGH People & Talent initiatives and programs. May also serve as a mentor and lead to other Business Partners across the organization
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operationalizing the People & Talent goals and tactics across all locations within the market
- Collaborates with market leadership to develop, implement, and communicate entity goals and objectives as well as performance across all areas of People & Talent
- Supports leaders and CoEs with decision making around performance management, employee relations issues, conflict resolution, organizational development and team memeber support
- Partnering with People and Development Department Centers of Excellence (COEs) to provide proactive partnership to leaders, team members, and physicians.
- Partner with key stakeholders across other departments to understand impact of initiatives on teams and partner with other departments to address solutions to cross functional issues.
- Enhances and promotes diversity and inclusion initiatives to create an inclusive and equitable work environment.
- Participates in and supports programs that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and morale within the hospital.
- Uses Business Acumen to understand the people analytics trends, and partner with leaders to develop techniques to assist in managing performance, and decrease turnover as well as proactive support including conducting stay interviews, leader assimilations, coaching
- Support the change management process using tools and techniques to manage the people elements of change in order to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Partner with leaders to identify and anticipate talent needs, ensure accuracy of support structure, and to develop an effective talent management and succession approach.
- Collaborate with CoEs to identify adequate partnerships and resource solutions in order to support effective people management and operational performance of client groups.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practice, industry and regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, and applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to department and organizational leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of related experience, or Masters with 5 years of related experience, with demonstrated and progressive leadership experience within the HR Business Partner model, preferrable minimum 2 years of leadership experience.
