Ballast Point

One of South Tampa’s many neighborhoods, Ballast Point is among the most coveted. It’s nestled on the sparkling Hillsborough Bay and canopied by mature oak trees full of Spanish moss. It has a rich history as a battle location during the American Civil War, and today it’s located just north of MacDill Air Force Base. Local residents can enjoy stunning sunrises from Ballast Point Park, which features a 600-foot pier, picnic areas, playground, splash pad and boat ramp.
