Job Overview

Shriners Children’s is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for an Executive Administrative Assistant for our International Patient Care group, based at our Tampa Headquarters location.

Responsibilities

The Executive Administrative Assistant provides primary support and assistance to the Executive Director, International Strategy and the international care strategy department, which is responsible for Shriners Children’s international patient program, international outreach program, and international presence strategy development and operationalization. The Executive Administrative Assistant effectively supports and/or coordinates multiple projects, programs, and initiatives as directed, travel arrangements, organization of NGO relationships, presentations and information packets, budgeting/expense reporting/submission and tracking of invoices and Purchase Orders (POs) and meetings. Utilizes bilingual (English/Spanish) language skills to initiate and respond to communication important to Shriners Children’s international strategy and relationships. Understands the requirements and goals of the international team and supports department initiatives while demonstrating willingness and ability to be a valuable member of the team.

This is a hybrid position based in the Tampa Bay area, with a mix of working onsite as well as remote.

Qualifications

THE QUALIFIED CANDIDATE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

  • 5 years of experience in an Administrative/Executive Assistant role required
  • Bilingual English & Spanish (written and verbal) required
  • 2 years of experience in healthcare and international business preferred

Minimum Education Required/Preferred:

  • High School/GED required
  • Associates Degree in Business preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to draft correspondence and transcribe dictation
  • Excellent proofreading skills
  • Professional team player with strong work ethic
  • Knowledge of Sharepoint or Box preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams preferred
