Under general supervision of the Chief Operating Officer and following established policies, procedures, professional guidelines and applicable State and Federal employment laws, the Vice President Professional Services develops and implements short and long term strategic goals and policies for areas of responsibility. The VP develops and monitors fiscal year budgets and assures department Directors and Managers effectively organize and manage their departments. The VP evaluates and coordinates improvements to the hospital’s overall health care delivery system, assures compliance with regulatory agency standards, and maintains professional affiliations. Demonstrates ability to interview, hire, schedule, assign work to and evaluate the work performance of team members supervised. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the shared purpose, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Master’s degree in Management, Health Care Administration or related field. Ten years of progressively responsible experience, seven of those years in Management.
