What you’ll be doing…
The Senior Security Engineer will be part of Verizon’s Corporate Information Security (CIS) Security Operations (SEC-OPS) Team, which plays a crucial role in defending Verizon from current and future cyber threats. This Senior Security Engineer will serve as an engineering resource for the SEC-OPS Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) Platform responsible for the lifecycle of the SEC-OPS tools. This includes, but not limited to: scripting, change management, hardware support, workflow development, developing documentation, and creation of custom integration between the tools. The Senior Security Engineer will work closely with the various internal towers as well as cross-organizational teams on design, development, and use of the system. An ideal candidate will have strong background in scripting and development work. The Engineer will also have a background in support security tools they need to be able to understand and solve business problems while managing associated risks and compliance requirements.
