Position Description


The Technical Project Management position will be filled by an individual who can contribute and add value in very specific areas of the business unit. This role will mainly focus on solution
deployment and project management. Ideal candidates will possess operational and technical
knowledge of RFID, BLE, UWB, and other RTLS technologies.

These Technical Project Management role tasks include on-site hardware and software
installation services, as well as network configuration. This is a remote opportunity with
significant travel requirements of 30% to 50%.


Responsibilities
The role’s scope encompasses implementing asset and inventory management programs in
collaboration with leading North American organizations and servicing existing customers
through project and technical management.

  • Install and deploy various IoT hardware, middleware, and software solutions at customer
    campuses.
  • Understand the components of network infrastructure security (IP, gateway, subnet) including routers, firewalls, switches, servers, load balancers, intrusion detection systems (IDS), domain name system (DNS), and storage systems.
  • Build, nurture, and sustain strong relationships with current and prospective customers through effective communication.
  • Understand your customers’ needs and respond effectively with a plan to meet them.
  • Identify market trends and best practices for project management and RTLS technology deployments.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and share insights with regional sales representatives, corporate marketing, R&D, and others.
  • Contribute to product development in response to customer needs.
  • Partner with production to resolve quality issues as needed.
  • Attend trade exhibitions, events, trials and demonstrations, and other ad hoc activities involvin customers.
  • Keep abreast of the company’s products and services.
  • Keep abreast of competitors’ activities, products, services, pricing, etc.

Skills/Requirements

Possess at least four to five years of experience in a technical program or project management role, or in technical business development, accompanied by excellent customer relationship management and influencing skills.

  • Tenacity and drive
  • Educated to a degree level in a relevant technical discipline
  • loT experience and expertise in technologies such as UHF RFID, BLE, UWB, WiFi, NFC, or barcode
  • Sound business analysis skills
  • Result-focused evidence of consistent achievement of meeting targets and KPIs
  • Experience of working in, and being sensitive to, different cultures.
  • Detail Oriented and accuracy is essential
  • Experience in providing input to strategic decision-making
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize in a multi-task environment
  • Ability to work proactively on own initiative and actively solve problems when required
  • Interpersonal skills are essential for building and developing relationships with clients
  • Innovation and problem-solving skills that include the ability to develop and propose equipment-based solutions for clients.

  • Flexibility – willingness to travel extensively throughout the Americas and Europe, and to be flexible regarding hours to suit different time zones.
